UoC students share study tips: Post 4: Ask for help

This is the fourth in a series of study tips from UoC students collected via the Valentine Library pop-up: Love Me, Love Me Not. In this post, students encourage peers to seek help to progress their learning. We hope you find these tips useful and please share your own tips via our Live Well Learn Well Study Tips padlet.

A UoC student advises that: “Honest reflection on what you already know and what you don’t is essential for your learning.”

Tips from Skills@Cumbria: Take some time for self-reflection and work out what you need to develop to make further progress. Successful learners make the most of all the resources and support available and feedback is a significant aspect of that support. Check out our Working with Feedback resources to reflect on and apply feedback to develop your learning. Remember: asking for help is part of the learning process.

“Interact more with your lecturers.”

“Talk with your supervisor and make the most out of library services.”

“Use library services. Seriously DO THIS ASAP. At Level 4!”
