Live Well Learn Well

Wellbeing and positive mental health support us to learn well. Successful study isn’t just about what we learn in terms of subject knowledge, but is also about how we learn. The skills@cumbria team will be using the blog to share strategies on how we can best support ourselves to learn well. For example, things like effective time management, breaking assignments down into manageable chunks, how to apply feedback, staying focussed and motivated when the going gets tough all contribute towards the mindset needed to succeed in our studies.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Team will be sharing some top tips, advice, and life stories about how to maintain good wellbeing whilst at University, or how to improve your wellbeing if you are struggling. Good wellbeing will not only make you feel good mentally, but it can improve your physical health too. Additionally, good wellbeing will help you to stay focussed on your studies, and help you to achieve your academic goals.

We’re passionate about combining living and learning well to enrich life at university and beyond. Whilst we’ll start out with blog posts from members of our teams, we are looking forward to having more voices and experiences from our university community. Let us know if you’d like to get involved. Take time out to enjoy our posts with your brew of choice.
